Pesti Vigadó

Exhibition hall

Originally opened in 1865, the Pesti Vigadó has always had a significant role in the cultural scene of Budapest. In addition to popular concerts and theater performances, Hungarian contemporary art is also heavily featured in the institution’s program since it is currently the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Arts. The Vigadó Gallery’s five grandiose rooms host exhibitions featuring architecture, design, folk art, music, film, photography, theater and fine art. With their sophisticated publications, exclusive guided tours and various other activities, the Gallery offers a wide range of events through which they are able to convey the values and traditions of our visual culture for all ages.
