Hide-and-Seek. Guided tour in English in the permanent exhibition of Shifts – Hungarian Art after 1945
The history of Hungarian art after 1945 consist of connecting generations, groups of artists and individual pathfinders. The exhibition seeks to set up three aspects together: firstly the parallel presence of different movements, secondly, the inclusion of the exhibition as a leading event in the progress of history, while the third one is to provide examples comparable to Western European tendencies by presenting trend-setting works of art. A unique feature of Hungarian art after 1945 is that different artistic perceptions were not simply changing, but rather they followed each other. The history of these parallel phenomenons can be traced through the past decades.
